I suppose my biggest reason for it being a bit of a posermobile is that Toyota already has a handful of other models that are better for the same purpose. They don't really need a "concept" of something that's a step down from what they already sell (for less $). They make a Land Cruiser 200 with an oem winch, OEM HD aluminum roof rack, factory winch mount, etc. that you can just buy off-the-shelf in much of the world vs maxing out the lift on the most street-oriented 150 platform model they make.
For Sema - the gx concept is great. It would fit in perfectly at an overland expo at the local fairgrounds. To me - it just doesn't look like a setup someone would choose who intends to go use it. For real-world use, a set of Prado plastics and a 1" lift would probably be better for almost every on and off road condition.
