Programming my 4R key fob window down

So i am going to the dealer for my first oil change and i am going to have them program my 2019 4R to allow me to use the key fob to open the windows. I was able to find a few examples of this being done.

I'm not sure if they will charge me to do this and i am not sure of other features that can be programmed that i could do at the same time? Anyone do this or know other features that can be activated?

Once oi get this done ill be able to utilize my DEI alarm to open and close all windows hopefully.

I have found some other topics on this but they seem to be old? Any recent PDF's with a list of programmable features?

You can buy a Carista for about $20 (USD) and program almost everything yourself... Even comes with a free trial period, at least it did, so you only have to pay the $20 once... Super easy to use... You can get it on Amazon, here:

I got the dealer to do it no charge. Found a few other features I had them activate.

Apparently when they programd the speed sensitive door locking it now locks when I put it in drive and unlocks when I put it in park. Ill have to go back and get that fixed.

Where did you find a list of features?

I have a 2019 sr5 premium, I would love some bonus goodies!

I searched for them through Google and it directed me to some old threads here. It's also in the owner's manual.

I figure once I find my settings I'll probably never change them again so I might as well save the money and go through the dealer since they're doing any no charge. Which I respect and appreciate.

I have to have them switch some of the Auto locking features back. and I might want them deactivate the seatbelt chime.

seen many video's on doing this or using a new chipped key. always a combo of open door 6 times, turn key on/off 6 times, then hold fob button for some other duration. I think youre doing the smart thing to have the dlrship do that work.

I had experience with these on my 4th gen. All issues were easily done at home with little fuss. However, this seemingly changed with the 5th gen. Some are not so easy to access, like the seatbelt chime. That was a 2 minute thing on my old truck. Next time I'm at the dealer I'll have one of those, "I bought this new here recently" talks...

5th gens you can't program with the fob. You have to go to the dealer or buy a Bluetooth chip on Amazon

Cool

The windows lowering with the key fob is a cool feature... it just bugs me that you can’t roll them back up the same way!

this all seems pointless now. that is the only reason i would want it. like looking back after parking and seeing that you left the window down...because for some reason, Toyota doesn't supply an alarm/light for this. only the sunroof. even though, EVERY 4runner has a rolling rear window but only some have a sunroof.

That's whats nice having a DEI/Python remote start/alarm. I can have it open/close windows with the remote but better than that is when i lock the doors it will automatically close the windows.

Yeah, there is a ton of stuff that can be done with a DEI alarm/start. Just make sure you have a good installer capable of doing it.
