So yeah, mostly birds. My gramps was a pro and some of the expeditions we went on were legendary. Definitely taught me a thing or two about waiting for the right moment and soaking it all in!
Nonetheless, the places my Runners have taken me have definitely attributed to what I get out of the outdoors.
Moral of the story - get outside and keep your eyes peeled.

Awesome. The Osprey carrying the fish (looks like the Pacu family, South America maybe?) is wicked

Awesome stuff.
As a barely amateur kaleidoscope snapper, I find the eye to see the potential, the patience to wait for it to acquiesce, and then the ability to edit the 589 photos of the same image sequence to select the best one, to all be a magical talent I do not yet possess.
Until then, I will continue to marvel at the works others capture. Thank you.

Thanks. This was taken on the James River in Virginia. I believe the fish is a Gizzard Shad.

Gotcha, makes more sense. Might be... Although it's pretty colored up and has pretty low eyes for the shad family. Maybe someone else can chime in and confirm! Awesome picture anyways.

@ Kandor
I think , after a bit of fishing around, your osprey is actually carrying a bighead carp...

It could be, I'm no expert when it come to fish. I know they run in the Newport News area of the James every spring and the Osprey clean up over several weeks in this location. Here is a better shot of the same fish.
