I for one, actually really like the look to the new Tahoes Silverados.

And the Silverado trail boss with a 6.2L v8 would be a great powerplant.

Agree with all other posters that GM reliability scares me, and I would be pretty worried about it, so much so I don't know if I could ever buy one.

Had a 2005 Chevy Colorado that seemed to always have some issue with it. Nothing ever big, just tons of little annoying things.

Plus that dash push button gear shifter on the Tahoe seems so stupid. I hate that manufacturers are going towards that and the dials and away from the levers. There is something satisfying about thumping it into gear.

Thats a terrible investment and the main reason I came back to 4runner. I saw a TRD Pro 4Runner in Nashville sale for about 4-5K less than a brand new one and it was 3 model years old
Vehicles are not investments...they are depreciating assets but your misconception is not uncommon. In general, it's a very bad idea to buy any new vehicle.

Not when the used market was only 4-5k cheaper than the one brand new one i wanted and it checked all the boxes for what the options and features I wanted. Plus, I don't buy used cars unless its a classic.

With all the large incentives on new cars/trucks, it doesn't make sense to me to buy someone else's car they've been eating in, farting in and have had the dogs loaded in. But I understand what you're saying

I think the GM's are made in Michigan, but I hear your point on them not being well built.

One thing that I struggle with. US car manufacturers know how to make cars/trucks that really appeal to me visually.

I just can't trust their reliability.
