Brand new- How soon offroad?

I recently purchased a 2020. Currently have 600 miles on it. I'm itching to take it on some trails (mild) but not sure if I should wait till its broken in fully? Its been in 4x4 due to it snowing right after I bought it.

What do you guys think? Manual just says to not drive continuously in a low gear until reaching 1000 miles. Maybe I should just wait till I hit at least 1k miles.

thanks

Where I live, offroading is just getting home.
As I was signing paperwork at the dealer I saw someone driving the Toy around back. When I asked they said they were cleaning it for me (the test drive included 3 miles up a dry wash).
I told them it was a futile effort because i live miles from paved roads. When it rains 4hi is sometimes needed to get back to the highway and on to work.

Now is a good time. One of the best things I like about the runner vs my import build is that dents, scratches and pinstripes look sexy babey.

Mine came with 600 miles on the clock, thanks St. Pete Toyota. It saw its first trail the same weekend I bought it.

Just go off-road it already. You live in a really good area for trails ranging from mild to difficult. I'd start off with something easy like Schnebly Hill in Sedona.

I took my ORP "off road" the day after I bought her to test the transfer case and the various electronic crawl modes. Just to make sure they functioned properly. Nothing strenuous, just a shakedown tour.

I waited until I'd racked up another 1,200 miles or so before putting her through her paces. This is because I wanted the transmission and transfer case to go through more thermocycles before being worked hard. Sorry, I'm a nerd, my brain just works that way.

That’s actually the trail I was thinking! I think I’ll check it later out this week

I did take it out just to make sure the crawl control etc works. But didnt do any off roading. Just a short test.
