I just saw that Toyota claims a top speed of 180 kmh for the new camry, however it has a 2500 cm3 petrol engine and an electric engine as well, and a claimed horsepower of 218 hp.
0-100 is 8,3 seconds and petrol engine horsepower is 178. The weight of the car 1595-1660. This just seems off to me, I have driven a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, which only has a 1,5 litre turbo engine, which produces 165 hp, the weight is a little bit less, but it can still go 205 kmph, only tested it until 190-195. So my question is, does Toyota put in an electric limiter like German manufacturers do at 250 kmh, or does the hybrid technology has some limitations I dont know about?

The hybrid Rav4 with a 2.5 litre petrol engine producing 222 hp also has a top speed of 180 if that is a relevant information.
