I am going to sell my 4Runner and buy this one
I was thinking about installing a lift kit. Purchasing so nice off-road capable tires until I saw the 4Runner on this link:
THE FIRST OF ITS KIND
And then I knew the real purpose that Toyota came up with the 4Runner. I was doing it all wrong. This is the ultimate 4x4

Not a fan of the interior or the striping, but other than that I dig it.

I have to give it to the creator of that truck that it's beautiful work and the level of detail is unparalleled. I wish I could fabricate like that, or at all!
Not my cup of tea though.

It has more custom fabrication than most everybody's lifted 4Runners.
I just wish it had a V8 and a supercharger.

I admire the work and effort that went into it, but I do not get the reasoning behind it.

I don’t mind this at all. My first truck was a lowered, black Nissan hardbody complete with pink/purple scallops. Pathfinder fenders, billet grill, Toyota bumpers and all. Life was great living low back then.
I still am alway on the lookout for a semi decent c10 (68-71) I can ride low in with a nice rumble under the hood. Lol.

I dig it.
In the late 1980's into the 90's I wanted a lowrider bad. I'd sketch them with bubble/ fade/ scallopped/ crazy graphics/ multi-colored striped paint jobs... Any truck would do.
I ended up buying a 1988 S-10 king cab, short bed with the iron duke 2.5L 4 cylinder and 5 speed stick. I wanted to lower it but never did. It did have 2 15" pyramid pro subs in the back for a couple years- HA!
Oh man to be a kid again.
Still when I see a lowered truck it makes me smile.
Now a squatted 4runner- NO! (taildragger with the front aimed at the stars)
Squatted anything... no.
