Look up the Kentucky Adventure Tour as well, much larger but spans that area. There's a bunch of great riding to do around Slade. Something for every experience level. Pumpkin Hollow and Spaas Creek down to Blad Rock Fork is a fun moderate run.
In that area I kind of like to stay at Callie's Campground. Be sure to check out some arches too if you're into hiking. Nada tunnel is cool to drive through also.
