Meh, i have no doubt its real. Not sure it warrants they collapse of the economy. Maybe there's more to it not health related, maybe not. As for the Army? The lack of new recruits will workout in the long run. Senior promotions are going to be pushed back a few month also (can't travel to the school house), but retirement is still a go. Should free up some slots, for advancement. Not many, but a few.

Yep, a big hoax. Tell it to the thousands of people that died (and are continuing to die) in Europe - or wait a few days here.

The swine flu killed almost what 5000 Americans in 2009 and I dont remember schools being shut down, no one calling the National Gaurd to enforce the 20 people rule at restraunts or movie theaters, now they could have but I just dont remember..
People are idiots with flu like symptoms people are hoarding TP??? really ??? LOL
Every election year, there is some sort of "crisis" coincidence?

Tell that to all the dead and dying in Europe - or just wait a week here.
It is people with opinions like yours that enable the spread of this virus that ultimately kills people. Just pray that it isn't somebody you care about.
You think Governor Cuomo in NY and the other governors are shutting stuff down to get Trump reelected?

The common flu has vaccine (unless you are too stupid to get one) and there are anti-viral meds if it is a strain not covered by the vaccine. H1N1 was treatable with anti-virals and much harder to catch. SARS and MERS were localized and of short duration.
This is different and has nothing to do with politics.

Sooner are later it may well be someone he cares about, or possibly even him, there's already 144 reported cases (with 29 cases just from today, and 30 from Sunday) in Colorado which is one of the top 5 states of number of cases reported.

With 3 kids in grade school, diabetes and asthma, my only choice is to take this virus serious. Living in the silicon valley, which currently has a shelter in place and curfew, and working for a company as a frontline technician which provides essential lifeline services, I must be very vigilant. I dont get to stay home with my family during this lockdown, and I could very well bring the virus home if I'm careless.
10 years ago, when the swine flu pandemic was here, it hit California hard. I was the 2nd person at my company to get it. I was lucky I qualified for the anti-viral Tamiflu, but even though I was taking it, it was the worse virus I feel I have ever been through. I dont want to go through something like that again.
I dont agree with all these people hoarding TP and sanitizer, but I can relate to why some can be afraid of what's happening. Only thing I can do is remain calm, and educate my kids and others to practice good hygiene, even though other individuals aren't doing the same. If washing my hands frequently and covering my cough or sneeze will help slow the spread of the virus or even save a life, then I'm all for it! I'm still surprised on how many people still dont wash their hands after using the restroom. 🙄
