Anyone care about the new Bronco?

Looks like it will be a Wrangler clone with two turbo engines, a four and a six since everyone hates a big block V8 these days. Looks like you can get a 2 door or a 4 door.

Does this mean that Toyota will get serious with the next gen 4Runner or make a "real" off road centric Land Cruiser?

I'm not loving the design since it has that weird stretched look the Wrangler Unlimited does with the long af wheelbase and short overhangs. I'm guessing they'll be selling approach and departure angles more than breakover.

I think I’d rather have 10 used 4runners for the price of one ford these days. Turbos sound like maintenance nightmares

Very curious on why you think turbos are a maintenance nightmare? Besides it being a FORD.

No idea, lots of high mileage modern turbo cars on the road.

As a huge fan of the old ones, I'd originally planned on getting one when they came out, but here I am with a new 4Runner instead.

I do think it's interesting, but I'm quickly losing interest. They've been hyping this damn thing for 5 years now and I still haven't seen one available to test drive/purchase. Ford needs to shit or get off the pot.

And I actually hope when or if they ever actually do finally launch it that it is freakin' awesome (although I seriously doubt it will be anywhere near epic). If there's competition, perhaps Toyota might step up their game as well? Competition certainly doesn't hurt the customer.

I was hoping that the Raptor, Bronco, Wrangler, and new JGC would get Toyota to step up their game more than anything.

I like it but I just cannot see myself buying a Ford. The wife is very interested but I'm trying to convince her to wait for the Toyota line up to be updated.

A 2.7 Ecoboost? Sign me up. I was so underwhelmed with my JLU test drive, plus the nightmare list of problems they seem to have, I can't imagine the Bronco could be worse.

It looks like a combination of Jeep Commander, Wrangler, and Renegade to me.

It’s a JKU clone. I’m not a fan of Fords after owning an F250.
Before I bought my 4 Runner I test drove the Ranger. I didn’t like that 4 cyl turbo. It was mechanically loud, and I drove the top of the line model.
I wish Ford luck as I do like the old Broncos.

Want to know what's funny? A bunch of dudes on a Bronco forum talking about the "new" Bronco every year for the past 15 or more only to get skunked. People would send me concept pics and I'd just laugh saying it's never going to happen..Looks like it finally is, whether the end product meets the hype remains to be seen..I've seen different pictures that make me go back and forth on it..to me these look like a Jeep with a different front end..I've got a '92 Bronco that's my off road rig that I'll probably keep forever (if it doesn't rust apart) but I just can't get myself to fall for this one..

I like the styling, with a few design cues hearkening back to the early Broncos. I'd prefer a normally aspirated V8. Biggest issue for me is a lack of trust in Ford reliability, especially in a new model.

For me, reliability and durability trump everything else when it comes to buying vehicles because I keep them for a long time. Toyota has invested a lot of time and effort in earning the reputation they currently enjoy, and I’ve spent many years reaping the benefits of their efforts as a loyal buyer. So for me personally, as good as the Bronco may be, Ford hasn’t earned a reputation for reliability that’s on the same level as Toyota. That’s the main thing that will prevent me from buying another brand.
