Buyer Beware! Custom Offsets
Buyer beware! This is just a heads up on a shitty experience.
I am a physician at a community hospital in the midst of this corona virus crisis. I purchased a brand new set of wheels and tires supposedly mounted and balanced by these guys at the beginning of April. Mounted on the truck and got a bad vibration at highway speed. Rebalanced at Les Schwab utilizing their road force machine. After two attempts they said one tire is out of round. Thinking this could be a tech issue, drove to discount tire, had them attempt road force rebalance. They also confirmed one tire out of round. I then contacted the company with my concerns and asked them to send me a replacement tire so that I may dismount this defective tire for return. I paid for a replacement tire as a separate transaction. They failed to ship tire out within a week and so I cancelled that transaction given the unsafe nature of driving this vehicle with the vibration. I then asked discount tire to replace the defective tire with one of their tires they have in stock. I informed custom offsets that the defective tire has since been removed and ready to send back as a return. They refuse to send the shipping label for the return.
Very difficult to deal with. The tire should be accepted for return per standard return policy. Any warranty issue should be handled between the dealer and the manufacturer. Somehow these guys just don't get it. A charge back dispute was initiated with the credit card company.
Buyer beware!
