Only things I can think of would be if something got into the intake box and made a big enough nest to substantially restrict airflow. Possible the parking brake wasn't fully released? Maybe the second dealer got some bad gas? Assuming rims/tires were same and no dealer "upgrade" aftermarket pieces added?
Outside of those thoughts, I have no clue why one would be significantly slower than the other.

Thank you for the feedback, most of you only read up to the part "you have a small penis" and lost your shit. Im not hating on the acceleration, as I have stated in my post, one 4runner was completely fine and while the other was not. I'm going to guess it was either cheap gas or the engine needed more priming. Nonetheless I'm still shopping for a 4runner and would love to be a part of the small penis society. Im wondering if this mentality will still be around when Toyota releases say a v8 4runner with 350hp and 40mpg ?

tempguy I hope you get the price you wanted, for under 40k below. my buddy got his 2018 kdss for 38k in Colorado and drove it back down to Houston. premium gas, maybe a sprint booster or pedal command for quicker throttle response and yes a varied speed driving break in would be advised. good luck, penis out

Thanks, 2020 prices have gone up due to the "new tech" added. Honestly sounds like early iphone days, we added copy paste feature, then next iteration we added bluetooth etc. I've contacted dealers from WA, OR and CA, so far best deal is $40.5k for ORP with moonroof & KDSS.

$40k for a ORP with KDSS isn't terrible honestly.
When people post low ass numbers I'm going to say some are full of shit or their dealer wants it gone. So I wouldn't use it as your top dollar.

I think its region dependent, that or some dealership is about to go under and they are selling below invoice. As for me I'm torn between a 2019 TRD Pro with 28K miles for 38K with tax, title and reg. Then there is the 2020 ORP at 45K with tax, title and reg. The difference between the two is 7K but with the ORP I would probably add another $5k worth of upgrades.
In 3 years if the cyber truck deems to be off road worthy I might switch over, so the pro is looking like a smarter investment ?

There is an allowed tolerance for horsepower in production cars, and they tend to be made more powerful than reported figures so people can't sue for not getting what they were promised. With that said the tolerances are far below your ability to notice.

It is region dependent and also how desperate your dealer is.
Unless you plan on going to the same dealer as another member don't expect the same pricing.
I still think a bunch of full of shit when they post what they paid. I honestly don't remember what I paid for mine but it was $40k+. Those spitting out their out the door price sure have good memory or mine just sucks.

I remember mine, 37.5k, because I had to email the dealer and then itemize it in my divorce proceedings.

Now this car had a new engine smell when I floored it, while the previous one didn't. The sales rep was shocked about my complaint said its normal with a brand new engine, am I missing something?, is it really a new car thing, can there be that big of a difference from one dealer to the next ?

First salesman had gas from a bad lunch, second salesman made sure to get in his farts in the open air; there's your issue sorted, buy a Gladiator instead.
