While I appreciate the feedback, you are incorrect.
I'm not sure what traffic laws you have in your area, but it was not a "dangerous" or "possibly illegal" lane change here.
We just had gotten on the the freeway and were moving to the carpool lane. The slower lanes are doing about 50 Mph. At the time of the lane change, the speed difference between me an him was at least 20 MPH and there was more than a car length when I started moving into the outer lane.
If you watch the video, you will see that I wait for him to pass
because he was going much faster, then I move over and get up to speed. So it was far from "unsafe" none the less a "crime". Seriously.
The video demonstrates that there was at a safe distance, because there was no accident. The car to car gap was large enough to be safe. By following at a safe distance, I was able to slow down enough, with margin. There still was room left after the BMW driver committed a crime.
California Vehicle Code 23103 VC defines the crime of reckless driving as driving with a willful or wanton disregard for the safety of other people or property.
People make mistakes all the time. They may be frustrating and I forgive them because it was not intentional. Geez, I would even give him credit if his laser detector went off. Sadly he is just an A$$*@*).
In this case it was not a mistake it was deliberate. That is what gets me just fuming mad about this. He could have killed any number of people in the area with such stupidity. If the police or CHP cared I would gladly sit in court for a day to see that pr#* pay a big fine, loose his license and/or go to jail.
In the end if the little snowflake didn't like my lane change 30 feet behind him, while he was going at least 20 MPH faster, he really needs a reality check. The world doesn't revolve around him.
