Because mud covers up the name plates....in commercials you need to be able to see the brand name as much as possible!

Yep, ford really missed the mark on the new Bronco. They could have used axles from the F550/650, a 7.3 Power Stroke and the wheels and tires from the Ford 876 tractor. Just like the Wrangler, 95% of them will never touch dirt and will be driven by people who want the outdoorsy image. I know Barbie has her own Jeep, will Ken have a Bronco soon?

I am guessing that in much of the market, Mud bogging is frowned upon. The trails in the west are fragile, and over used already. "Tread Lightly" Or in other words, don't damage the trail or you will loose it is the rule.
