Thanks everyone. Can you get the Scepter in USA? I thought they couldn’t do the metal cans here.

Why mess around waiting for Wavian cans that will never ship? I've had an order for 2 from 4WD Parts in since June and still no line of sight on when they will get shipped.

I went with these guys and got two jerry cans (metal, with a fuel spout) within 2 weeks of my ordering.

Jerry Can | Steel Jerry Can | Nato Cans | Gas Can

They are not technically legal to carry fuel in here in the States, but who would enforce that while the world around us burning?

Just my .02.

Couldn’t do $100+ for a fuel can. Can’t even do $80... went with Walmart online, bought 2 from “Zeny” which arrived inside a week, free shipping.

Zeny 5 Gal NATO Style 20L Green Jerry Can Oil Fuel Gas Steel Tank w/ Spout & Holder - Walmart.com - Walmart.com

They seem legit. Only time will tell how good the worlds are / leaks etc. but the fit / function seems identical to the standard NATO cans. I bought a 5-pack if gaskets since that seems to be the weak link in most cases. Only problem I have is they don’t include the little plastic spout clip to store spout on the top of the can. I’ve searched high and low for that damn clip, and I can only find one from the UK ($5 too). Otherwise it’s $30 for a full spout replacement with clip but that’s as much as the can cost.

Anyone DIY a clip?

What about the Nato cans from Atlantic British?

Nice addition.

Update - The Zeny’s are bare metal inside. So, if you get one without rust inside fill it quickly. If not then soak in vinegar (of preferred rust removal technique) then fill it up. Watched a Wavian vs “China knockoff” which looked exactly like these Zenys. For ruggedness, not bad. Fit/function... something to be desired. Everything works, just not as nicely as the Wavian. But for 1/2 the price there’s no reason to have the same expectations

Did you look inside to see the coating? Painted metal inside or bare?

FYI - full Nato Jerry Cans are HEAVY!!!

Back when gas was cheap - $1.25 a gallon, and toilet paper was nowhere to be found, I filled up every gas container I had. I'm using it in my riding mower plus SHTF, I can use it in my vehicles.

Earlier this year, I picked up a pair of these "U" Jugs at a Farm Store. They are great for filling up my riding mower. Way lighter than using metal Jerry Cans. I refill the plastic jugs from my Nato Cans.

Would like to find a vehicle mount for the "U" Jugs.

I'll look inside (and take pictures if you want) and report back.
