Paint flaking

I noticed today that my paint is chipping away where the pinstripe ends on the right front fender near the headlight. What is the best way to touch this up? I have some touchup paint that came with the truck when I bought it but I'm not sure what condition it is in. And I'm not sure how best to handle this with the pinstripe there.

There are some large chips that have been touched up on my hood as well. They don't seem to be rusting underneath and so I'm not too worried about them but is there anything else I should do or watch out for?

Smooth out the edges with a rubbing compond not too much just enough so the sharp edges dont have loose paint flakes. Fill the chip with a match tip 'or nail polish brush with primer. let it dry then apply a small' amount of paint to fill the cavity let it dry apply 'a second coat of paint let it dry for a few days then rub some polishing compound lightly.
