Pontoon kick boats

Hi Guys,

Any fisherman here who owns and uses a single person pontoon kick boat?

I am looking to purchase one and am wondering how hard it is to cram one in the back of a 4Runner (deflated of course).

Thanks for any insights!

Cheers,
G

really just depends on the size of the kick boat. with the pontoons deflated it should definitely fit with the seats down unless you’re planning on buying an absolutely monstrous kick boat 😂

I have a couple FishCat 4 belly boats and a couple by Caddis. The Caddis is lighter and more suited to when I have to walk a ways to a lake. Otherwise, the Fishcat is much better. You sit up higher and it's overall more durable. They fit easily into the 4R, even if only partially deflated. These are belly boats, of course, not pontoons... though I've never seen a "single" pontoon as you mention; they always seem to be doubles. Hope this is helpful, and good luck!

Throw a roof basket on top and strap it down! That leaves the hold for your massive catch of fish! In my case, my 4Runner will never have a fishy smell.

I don't want to be doing "clean and jerks" trying to get 100 pounds on the roof of my 4Runner, lol.
