2009 model Tire Pressure warning light won't go off

Hi, I have a 2008 (fourth gen) Ltd v-6. After being away for a few weeks, I drove my 4Runner and the tire pressure warning light was one, so I assumed it was from the significant temperature drop while I was away.

But, after filling the tires to 44 PSI each, the light is still on, it won't go off (driven the vehicle 3-4 times over say five days since topping off tires).

Any ideas? Thx!

Would guess a bad sensor. Have a tire shop scan the sensors and make sure you don't need new ones. They are supposed to last 10 years, but depending on where you live you might get less than that.

We just replaced all 4 on my wifes RAV4, as two had dead batteries, one was too weak to transmit, and the 4th was OK. We live in Texas and the summer heat tends to cook batteries down here.

MAke sure you fill up the spare too. Theres different blinking signals for TPMS batteries failing vs the pressure being low too

Thanks for the reply. How much did four sensors cost you?

Interesting--I have the same issue on my 2006 Limited. I put new sensors on about 2 years ago----the TPMS light was flashing when they were bad. I'm going to stop by the tire shop next weekend to double-check to see what they set them to. I have checked the spare--I am at 36 all the way around.

Ugh, I didn't check the spare (yet), maybe that's it?

I think it ran around $120. It wasn't that bad.
