My Experience with RST(RockSolidToys): Avoid Them

Im gonna start this thread with some facts:

On August 29th, I was quoted a 2 week lead time for their twin stick case

On September 1st, I put down half

On September 18th, I tried contacting RST, looking to pay the other half and get it shipped.

Between then and October 2nd, no response to any emails I sent.

Some discussion between then and October 30th, with seller going quiet and not responding until November 10th, where I was told the parts wouldve been shipping at the end of the week.

Was promised a tracking number by the end of Novemeber 16th

By the end of Novemeber 17th, I was told they would have it shipped the following day and that I would be sent a tracking number

On November 23rd, I was told the parts will arrive on the 25th, but never got them.

Now(Novemer 30th) about 3 hours ago, I was told that I should expect a tracking number within an hour.

The only reason I stuck it out this long is because I was really hoping to get a kit to make my swap easier(pre-fabbed parts and all) and the fact that you cant look at a 4th gen tcase swap thread without seeing RST

I made this post because I dont want anyone else dealing with the stress and bs this company has put me through. Avoid them at all costs and buy the parts somewhere else(even if you have to fab them)

Wow! Too bad you had to go through that, but thanks for the heads-up.

For the record the owner is a 1 man team. He had a stroke and other health issues this summer. Probably why you didn't get the emails and responses as fast as you want.

Usually it's 15...but I have seen other new members post a topic with less than that.

The 15 post rule is posted in the 2 following topics.

For all new members, you can say hi here, please dont litter other threadsa

T4R.ORG Forum Rules - MUST READ

That being said here's why there's a 15 post rule, from the second link....

"NEW MEMBERS - 15 POST RULE

A 15 post rule as been implemented.
To reduce the amount of bot activity and spam we have implemented a 15 post rule. All users must have a collective number of 15 posts before starting any new thread. This implementation applies to the entire forum except for the New Members section. DO NOT spam threads with irrelevant posts to increase your thread count. Doing so will result in a warning and / or infraction for multiple offences. To increase your post count please take time to introduce yourself in the New Members section and / or by posting in the specified thread found HERE. Once you have 15 posts you will be automatically be enabled to create threads forum wide."

After reading through the new member fine print, it is 15; however, if you ask the question in a post, it is 20.

I highly doubt that, this dude seemed to be lying out his rear. Sometime I was texting a 'team member' who would talk to him and etc. Sus.
And the fact that he got to me right away about taking my money from me, but took a month to reply when I asked where my stuff was, is also sus.

And he tried telling me he sent the whole kit, and sent nothing but the transfercase(which is only about 10% worth the cost of the kit) and he took 3 months to do that! I could of got it from anywhere else in 2 weeks. RST is full of bs, and no one should order from them

Even if that is true, at least have the decency to give more realistic lead times or just flat out stop taking orders. Guys like this are what kills small business.

Why didn't the owner let the customer know that he was having health issues and there could be delays as a result?

For those who are interested, theres posts on tacomaworld about somebody else getting awarded money by court. I had thankfully saved the html receipt to my computer, as I got no email receipt. Navy Fed is real good at handling any money issues
