If it is keyless:
1) Put key in sleep mode (Example: Quick Key Fob Tips - Heffner Toyota)
2) Pull metal key from the key fob
3) Leave fob in the car in hidden place
4) Lock car using sensor on the handle
5) Do what you want to do (swim, etc) while keeping metal key with you.
6) Open vehicle using metal key
7) Activate key fob back, put metal key inside key fob

This looks interesting. No idea if it would block the fob signal.

You might want to go on youtube and search 'removing hitch pin lock' first...

Ziploc baggie inside a snorkeling bag like this...

Amazon.com: JOTO Universal Waterproof Pouch, IPX8 Waterproof Cellphone Dry Bag Underwater Case for iPhone 12 Pro Max 11 Pro Max Xs Max XR X 8 7 6S, Galaxy S20 Ultra S10 Note10 9 up to 6.9" -2 Pack, Clear

There's a zillion different types. My wife and I bought one when we went to the Caribbean a million years ago and we still use it when kayaking. If extra paranoid, double ziplocs. Never had anything even remotely a close call.

I have this hitch lock and it is awesome. Still would probably have to put key in RF blocker material or bag and then put in the hitch key lock. If you have a larger sized hitch then the HS7000T may not fit, then another option is:

Amazon.com: Master Lock 1467DAT Chrome Steel Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock: Automotive

From what I have seen, the fob needs to be around arm length away from the front door to unlock it from proximity. That is if someone tries to enter from the front. If you hide it around back someone could open the gate? Idk. Maybe up from somewhere?

Ended up taking battery out of fob, taping battery to back of fob...hiding the fob inside....taking the key (that was in the fob) and zip tying it under the frame in an inconspicuous spot. So when i went to CO and NM this last week I would be ok if I lost the set i was using.

so if locked out, ...get under car to retrieve the hard key, open door, find fob, replace battery and you are good to go.

I do find it interesting that there is no way to start the car without the fob. ON my last car with push button start, The actual push button could be removed to reveal a hole that you place the key fob (the end of it) and turn the "key " and it woudl function like an old school key start.
