Dirty clothes. What do you do with them?
For all your travelers out there: on a long road trip, what do you do with your dirty clothes after a hike, bike ride, just sweaty junk because you don’t have ventilated seats, etc... ? Do you keep them in a sealed bag? Mesh bag? Wash them as you go? Would love to know what you to!

Define dirty...no real reason to put them away.
Any trip longer than two days brings out a wider scale or dirtiness.
Weekend trip... dirty or clean
3 day weekend.... clean..... kinda dirty... dirty
4 days... clean (rare)....kinda dirty.... dirty but passes smell test and dirty
5 days....kinda dirty... dirty and barely passes smell test...who care I'm camping....burn it.

If I have a base camp set up, I'll dry out the dirty/sweaty clothes. Last thing I want to do is leave damp and dirty clothes in a sealed bag.
I'll wash in camp if I need to, especially if I'm camped near a river. I won't use soaps or anything, just wash in the running water and it's usually enough to wear if I need to. It doesn't matter anyway - everyone that I'm with smells the same, so by that logic, no one smells.

Definitely NOT keep them is a sealed bad and roast in their juices for a couple of days.
If could I would dry them out asap and keep the dried cloths it in breathable bags. Bags cause cloths will still stew if stuffed in one big bag and cant breath.

2week patrol in the desert... One uniform. Never gets dirty, just improves your camouflage.

wear it regular correctly.
then turn it around.
turn it inside out and wear it regular.
then turn that around.

Mesh bag tied to the roof near cargo! If it rains, even better.

If i am on a long road trip, i always try to wash my dirty clothes as i go, public laundries are in many places, the clothes can be washed and dried there perfectly. And never leave damp clothes in closed bag.

When mountain biking I wear merino shirts as they don't hold stink like plastic shirts do. In fact, when I do trips through BC, I can wear a merino more than once (providing it doesn't get caked in dirt or mud).

Wife and I travel a lot between Illinois and Colorado, so we have a bit of system down. I throw my dirty clothes at her and she figures out what to do with them. (joking). When we travel, we're typically only gone for three nights, so I usually only change my underwear and socks and they go in my dirty clothes pouch in my back pack or a plastic bag. Bigger clothes like pants and shirt i usually just throw in the trunk.
