Its called a "Free Market" there aren't many on the lot so its a sellers market. Once they are on the lot then prices will come back to normal. If your in a hurry today then you will pay more. If you wait you won't.

4R Prices

I started this thread a few months ago and 4R prices are even higher now, this is unbelievable, can anyone explain why ? I am thinking about selling my ORP, should easily get all my money back and a little more. I have a 07 Camry XLE v6 and a 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Duramax. I bought 4R because I wanted one, didn't really need one. GMC 2500 HD Diesel is even bring more money right now, I guess both vehicles are in high demand.

Even the US can't run a multi-trillion dollar deficit and expect there to be no inflation. Irresponsible voters are collapsing the standard of living in exchange for handouts. Both big parties are to blame - one is OK with spending as long as taxes stay low, the other is OK with anything as long as spending is high.

It's a sad day when getting a vehicle at MSRP is a good thing!

There was a King of the Hill episode in which Hank was shown as a complete idiot because he always paid MSRP.

I'm sort of in the market for a used 4Runner but I'm going to wait for a market "correction" at some point...this bubble will burst.

I feel you on that. For me, I wanted to wait for the market correction, but I don't know when that will happen. I personally didn't want to lose out on the time I could be on trails and car travels with my family waiting for the correction. So MSRP wasn't a bad idea.

Massive government printing of money raises prices on all things. Every time.

Can’t wait to see how the 22 tundra works out. Because if the tundras not up to par with competition I’ll prob get the 23 4Runner. Time will tell. Price is just a number. If I have to work an extra 10hrs a week to have a brand new Tundra/runner then sign me up.

This is more than just printing money problem. There's a computer chip shortage to go along with the printer. Toyota isn't the only one effected and neither is it just the car industry. There's also the transport/logistical issue. Less truck transports and also parts issues for them when they break down. It's a minor issue compared to the other two but it all adds up.

On top of all this some people are still afraid to step out of their house and won't let their off lease vehicles go. This was a bigger problem last year and prior to the mass availability of vaccines but all those cars that didn't go off lease on time only added to the overall shortage and ultimately price increase
