First year of brand new generation of vehicles are never a good idea to buy. Gonna wait a couple of years after Ford gets the kinks out.

The TFL guys have documented this fully. They bought a new 4dr model, loved what it was capable of, but said on a few vids now, the roof is so bad that it makes them want something else, anything else...including the new Jeep that Tommy/the son bought, or even the fallback T4r or FJ Cruiser they have.
I like the Bronco...but after having to order one, drop a deposit, wait and wait, then wait, get the dealer mark ups to end up spending 40-50k on it...only to have its roof panels have these types of problems...
yeah, i'd be pretty peeev'd to say the least.

Yeah. Check out the Bronco6g forum for all the details on this. It’s a true fiasco. So glad I went with a 4R.

The latest TFL video with that Bronco shows it with an aftermarket fastback soft top — looks way better that way IMO, and they seem happy with it.

Speaking as one who owns a '92 Bronco, it has a s**t ton of squeaks and rattles, but that's to be expected for those old Fords..If I bought a 70K rig that would annoy the hell out me, even worse is the material peeling away on the underside..It just looks shoddy. I like how the TFL guys are going to solve the problem by slapping a soft top on it...

It makes me question overall quality, so it most certainly would have me thinking twice about getting one.

This...my wife asked me if I was interested in getting one, I told her maybe in two or three years..They'll have the bugs worked out and I can sell my '92 to get a chunk of change for a down payment...

It's why you never buy a new model year and or platform of anything. But for those that have to be first with something for bragging rights and such, a removable roof that the dealer has said they will replace would not keep me from getting one.

Several years ago Ford sold their Proving Grounds in Yucca AZ when they were about to go bankrupt. I bet if the Bronco was tested there they would have found the problems. I have been told the one in Phoenix, a former Volvo track, is nothing compared the the Yucca facility now owned by Chrysler or what ever that company is called now.
Combine that with the Technicians being contract, not direct employees, who can get cut loose anytime Ford gets cramps and who probably dont care too much and only do what they are told and this is what you get.
It’s also a huge problem to use any supplier other than the cheapest one when doing design work.
Ford has nice paint is about all I can say.

As much as I like the new Broncos, I would not touch one until a few years down the line. About the time I will hand off my 4Runner to my kid when he gets his license.
