The first vehicle I ever owned was a red Toyota 4wd pickup truck back in the 1980's. It had a lift, big tires and a roll bar with kc lights. I had a blast in that thing. When I joined the US Army it was sold. In the Army I drove a tank and also a HUMVEE. Both the tank and HUMVEE were a awesome to drive and both could go just about anywhere. The time I drove that little red Toyota was good practice for driving those military vehicles. That was a long time ago. I love the outdoors and swore I would always own a Toyota after that first one. I bought a new 4runner in 2012 and love it. I am into kayak fishing and sometimes fish in the Pacific Ocean. Recently I took my 4runner with kayak on top down one of the steepest, longest, and trickiest boat ramps you could ever imagine. It's steep, wet, and has two twists on the way down. If you want to look it up it's at Ocean Cove Campground in California. I used the Downhill assist (DAC) going down and the whole time the 4runner was in complete control. Amazing! I watched others driving down the ramp and it looked scary when they did. They were spinning their wheels and sliding around from side to side. It made me happy that I not only have the 4runner but knew how to use it (the DAC I mean). Thanks for reading. I just wanted to share how excited I am about my 4runner.
