Downsides to removing seat(s)/parts?

Recently removed front and rear passenger seats while doing detailing, and have yet to put them back, mainly because I'm enjoying the extra space. Also, it seems nicer for my dog, who goes everywhere with me--his harness belted to the center rear seat belt latch.

Aside from storing the seats, and not being able to pick up hitchhikers, what's the downside, if any? Holes in floor are covered/sealed.

Seems like it adds a bunch of space, especially for camping purposes.

Just wondering.

I've played around with this a bit. Goose gear makes some cool paneling to convert the 2nd row into a flat surface. I haven't been able to get past the cost of the conversion panels. I don't see a real downside to it, the beauty of these rigs is the functionality, there are so many different ways to use them. The pup probably loves the extra room!

more room equates to less foot prints on headliner from your significant other.

I pulled out the rear drivers side seat, the 1/3 section of rear seat. I have a Yeti cooler strapped in that I keep ice in for trips.
Only downside...road noise.
