See that's sort of the thing... I've been hearing the EcoBoosts have been having these type of valvetrain and engine issues since it was introduced in the F150's and 4-banger variants. That 2.7L "Nano" V6 has been in service since 2015 in the F150's and the 2nd Gen variant was plopped in their trucks in 2018, followed by the Bronco in 2021; so it's not a "teething" issue as this engine has been around for at least 4-5yrs in it's current incarnation.
I haven't looked into it more seriously than word of mouth from persons in the industry I trust who have had 1st hand experience with those issues; mainly because I have had better things to do and no one asks me about those engines or Ford's products really. lol
I can say that Chrysler likes to downplay their Hemi engines and their habit for dropping valve seats among other issues (it's only been an uncommon issue for over a decade now).
So the couple articles saying "well it's only been a dozen Bronco owners complaining about it on the forums!" sorts tells me the issue is more likely close to hundreds or maybe up to a thousand. Enthusiast forums are an extremely small niche and so trends/patterns of failure need to be taken with a grain of salt (both ways) when considering the "full extent" of an issue. Ford would be the only one who knows how truly significant the extent of these failures are and they won't release that information until they are legally required to.
At the end of the day, it could just be normal for such tiny engines being squeezed for everything they can give; hard to say honestly without really digging into it.
