Can you mirror an Android to an iPad? Something tells me Apple won't allow that.

I think there would be no point in going through all that trouble if you already have an phone/ipad with GPS. You should just use that screen instead. I just use my iphone for hunting using ONXhunt. I mount it with a phone mount to navigate when driving and have it in my pocket when walking.

I have a Pixel 6 Pro, which has a pretty big screen, but no comparison to my iPad screen size.

As another alternative, devices like the Garmin GLO connect to a wifi-only iPad via Bluetooth and provide GPS positioning.

OnX is the bees knees. Offroad or Hunt. Both are amazing!

You got me interested. I have never used a GPS tracker before. It turns out he has so many virtues. I recently came across information on this sourse realspyapps.com/track-phone-location/ about other ways to track the location of the phone. Also interesting. If you install such a spy app on someone's phone, then its owner will not even know about it.

I haven't had an opportunity to use it yet, but their Customer Service has been very responsive to the questions I have emailed them. A good sign .

Just for some clarity here.

Mirroring is not a terribly effecive way to accomplish reasonable speed in GPS tracking. For less than $100 you can buy a Samsung Tab 7 or 8 and run it there. Built in GPS that tracks in real time.

Also, the reason OnX and GAIA work so well and at an uber low price point, is that Garmin is forcing you to pay for all of the map development they have done. I much prefer building my own maps and using a Tablet to accomplish the same thing. I love GAIA but have not used OnX. I typically go to trailsoffroad.com and download others premade maps in NM, CO, WY, MT, AZ and ID and then make changes once I have them downloaded. I download to my PC in a folder which then automatically downloads to my Tab.
