Hello peeps....
Recently I decided to take the opportunity to test Lasfits 40 inch single row light bar. While I already had a slim amazon light bar, I felt it was lacking in some areas....little did I know how much.
Full Disclosure...I am "cheap" on certain things where I perceive paying a premium is not needed for MY application. For example, I like really nice "luxury" divers watches, but I pair those with 5$ Home Depot sun/safety glasses. I lose glasses, not watches. I say that so that you know my thought process. Also, I was given a discount (not free) to review with no pressure on positive thoughts.
Here are the net results and I will give a little more perspective in the end.
Tech details.
I took all pics in same locations, same night with Samsung Note 9 auto settings. Light bars only, no other vehicle lights on.
My amazon bar...specs are 210W, 21,000 lumens output...it is no longer available, but it was 90$
Amazon.com: Single Row LED Light Bar, Nirider 210W Cree 40 Inch Super Slim LED Bar Flood LED Fog Light Bar Off Road Driving Light Work Light Bar for Trucks Jeep UTV ATV 4 Wheel Car Boat : Everything Else
LASFIT bar Specs are 120W, 20,900 output $187
42 Inch Off-Road LED Light Bars Roof Windshield Combo Flood Spot Singl
There is a huge difference between the two stated load with both lumen outputs being very similar (as stated). That has alot to do with how efficient the led chips are. Anyways, here are the pics. I also used my light meter (i am in the commercial lighting business) that I always have handy.
at the garage door (about 30 ft away)
Amazon was 18.07 Foot Candles and 195 LUX
Lasfit was 225.8 Foot candles and 2463 LUX
A HUGE DIFFERENCE
Anyways, very impressed with the quality, finish and performance. Even the Wiring harness was really high quality with waterproof connectors. Definitely a good value compared to other lower cost options. How does it compare to the super high end stuff that cost 3x more? Not sure, but for my use (not running a baja trophy truck) this is a great option.
One other thing...note that the amazon bar was not very focused at all. It provided decent area lighting, but was very weak on long distance. I know alot has to with optics, but the Lasfit was better in every way.
