Harbor Freight Haul-Master

I couldn't find anything recently on here so I figured I'd post the question. I recently saw a 5th gen at a local meet and the owner had just installed a Harbor Freight Haul-Master roof rack. He's only had it a month but seems super happy with it. Anyone else have experience with this rack over the long run?

If you live in a rust belt state, you're not going to be very happy after the first winter. The paint job is marginal (no metal prep work or primer) at best. Since you don't live in a rust belt state, you should be much better off.

The bigger issue you might want to check into is the sealing around the attachment bolts. If done incorrectly, you're going to get water leaking into your headliner.

Thank you for the info! The Haul Master cargo basket should just clamp to the crossbars if I go that route, correct? I may do that and silicone everything and use better bolts and washers from the hardware store.
