Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform....windfairing?

Has anyone installed a wind fairing on their Pioneer platform from Rhino Rack? I purchased the 4th series wind fairing from RR but it is not compatible for use with the 5th series platform *sigh*

Does anyone have a generic option they would recommend? Or a way to jerry-rig the 4th series wind fairing onto the 5th series platform?

I am so sick of the wind noise on my platform I am ready to try just about anything! Thanks guys

Does the fairing even remotely fit? As in - do the plastic clamps and/or arms fit in between the fore-aft slats? (regardless of a lip to clamp onto)

Without everything in front of me, this is what I imagined could work:

That image was poached and scribbled on from Rhino Rack's Aussie website for the RWFS/RWFL Pioneer Fairing (typical)

I can't recall if the 5 Series slats have track underneath to run T-bolts, so maybe some extra work would be involved,
but affix the transverse (red) bar under the slats, and bolt the fairing arms to the holes drilled in it.
The red bar may need to be somewhat wider to offset the arm holes to accommodate for fairing arc to match the roof contour.

Might work?

Thank you so much, this is so helpful!

I have part 43250, so it uses arms to attach underneath the rack. Yes there are 3 places where the brackets fit, but they're all in the center of the rack. So I could attach it securely in the middle but would need to figure out a solution for the outer edges of the fairing. I wonder if designing extra metal clips with the right hole placement for attaching would also work?

Sorry I'm still figuring out this website and I'm not sure how to attach the specific instructions or pictures to my post. I'll get back with photos that can help!
