Door panel arm rest crunchy noise

2019 driver door panel armrest makes a crunchy noise when pushing up n down on padded area.
Anyone have a fix?

Toyotas trim panels are some of the easiest to get off. I’d just pull it and see what’s happening in there.

Sounds like glue/foam is bad in arm resr.

Mine did that when it was new in 2019. I slid a little lithium grease down between the armrest and door panel. Hasn't made any noise since.

The top of the armrest is just a hair too long, so it bows up a little such that when you push down on it there is a little bit of vertical travel and the two materials rubbing up against each other make noise.
