Gear shifter: 4D vs. D

well, after driving my 4th gen for several years, i just noticed that i have always been keeping it in 4D. i tend to hug the inside on the shift pattern, and never noticed that i was in 4D. so, i guess i never achieved overdrive on the highway! 4D does seem peppier, though.

It will be peppier because it's a lower gear, BUT you will get much better mileage and less wear on the engine in D (5TH)!!
