Recommendations for Rav4 Summer Tires

We use Blizzaks in the winter but now its time for summer tires. Does anyone have experience here that can make a recommendation for me?

michelin defenders M+S or latitudes. 4runner has the defenders and I like them a lot. Xice for the winters defenders for all other seasons

Yeah I have defenders on my 4R. Was looking for something a bit more touring/performance. Would that be the latitudes?

I've had about a year so far on Michelin CrossClimate2. Probably the best all around tire I've owned. By far the best winter performance of any non dedicated winter tire that I have personally driven. I was skeptical at first, but I'm sold that they are a legitimate replacement for studless snow tires. Quiet and smooth on the highway so far. The measured tests show them usually within 10% of the braking distance of dedicated snow tires vs all seasons being more like 50% longer braking. Living in Anchorage for the past year - snow and ice is basically life here. It's actually snowing right now. I've been surprised how much better they are vs the Michelin LTX MS I have on my Tundra which I consider to be pretty good all seasons. I will put snow tires on the tundra if I stay another winter.

I haven't had them on long enough to really compare tire wear or road noise as they wear. All tires are quiet when they're new, so being quiet now isn't all that meaningful IMO. But they are very quiet compared to the worn out Goodyear touring tires I had previously (which were also very quiet when new, lasted about 60k miles, and never had a flat or any other issues).

Not really the tire you're looking for. But it might be worth the relatively high price to be able to keep one tire on year round and forget about the snow tires. Especially if you have to get them swapped on the same wheels. That's always a huge PITA.

We've only had one season on the blizzaks so we have about 4 more years before they'll get replaced, but I'll come back to this when it happens.

Makes sense. I probably wouldn't be looking at snow tires to replace my snow tires either. It's just the only recent tire experience I have that has impressed me with respect to crossover touring tires.

I've yet to own a set of directional tires that didn't end up with uneven wear or cupping issues. We'll see.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Wicked rain and dry traction, great way to go if you run dedicated snows. I did these with my Mazda 3 and Acura.

They work best above 50 degrees, but stick like glue.
