That's why I always carry Maxtrax and have AT/Mud tires (Duratracs). Mud is just difficult and needs some momentum not to get stuck. Love my 4R and feel it will never let me down, but in reality its more likely I will do something to cause the 4R to get stuck. Stock tires are the worst.
Curious, how long did you let crawl control try to get you out? Its an agonizingly slow process.
