I have used it before and didn’t have issues. It’s made by Warren Distribution which makes many other brands. I personally prefer Amsoil but sometimes I forget to order so I grab what’s at Costco.

The Toyota oil fappers don’t realize that Toyota doesn’t make oil and they use whoever meets their budget and basic needs for the engine. Using something else is fine because the engine doesn’t care what brand you use and cares more about viscosity and change intervals.

ExxonMobil has made the oil for Toyota for years.

I feel sarcasm in that. However, there are much more things in modern engine oil, that just viscosity, but oil base and additives. As of today, only Amsoil much closer in additives package to OEM Toyota. And it has only 200 parts of Molybdenum, where Toyota has 700. it is possible to achieve high "slickness" of oil by other scientific methods without making product of very high price. And Exxon Mobil 1 does just that, with Molybdenum (very expensive) only 90. Rest of the guys just mix oil, stealing recipe from major manufacturers and ordering additives from same supplier. Anyone would do it, having spend millions on start up company and with right bribing connections. For General Population marketing is only oil "weight".

If it is visible to the naked eye, wouldn't it be caught in the oil filter?

I will be doing a Blackstone oil test on my 2012 SR5 in about 1k miles. I am using Silver State 0w20 full synthetic oil. It's what my shop carries and it's free to me so I use it. I am curious to see how it holds up after 5k miles.

The oil pick up tube isn't in the bottom of the oil pan, it is higher up so that it does not pick up the larger pieces in there. It also has a strainer, so at a certain size, it just won't be picked up by the oil pickup tube, and drain back into the bottom of the pan.
