How to drain the gas tank of my 3rd gen after sitting for 3 years?

Need some help draining the gas tank on my 3rd gen. This vehicle has sat for 3 years now with a full tank of fuel. I did try getting a siphon hose down the gas filler with no luck. What is the best DYI way to do so?

IDK for sure about a '99, but earlier models have a drain plug at the bottom of the tank.
You may have to drop the tank skid plate to get to it.

no drain plugs on 3rd gens unless someone has added said.

disconnect the fuel line before the fuel filter and pull the fuel pump relay, then grd and pwr to the correct pins (dont recall off hand which pins but easily looked up), should go without saying a container to catch the old fuel. Let the fuel pump do what it does.

im looking to do the same thing...

Can you expand a little further? - I'm sometimes an idiot on some of this stuff...

So would it be something like this?
  1. pull the fuel pump relay from the fuse box
  2. run a wire from battery positive to power pin
  3. run a wire from battery negative to ground pin
  4. watch fuel flow into container

Is it the EFI relay in the main fuse box left side of engine bay?
