Michelin wiper blades from cosco

My OEM blades lasted about 2 1/2 years but decided to try Michelin next. Just installed them and the plastic cover is bigger and sticks out. Definitely not as trim as the OEM. I wonder if I’m going to notice wind noise. Next time going back to OEM.

Since this is not generation related, moving to General Discussion so more people can participate.

I realize you think this would have been a better choice and I mistakenly posted it in gen4 instead of gen5. Gen5 has close to 8x more posts than general. I would have preferred to post where I want it.

Just repost in the 5th Gen section and state what year your T4R is.

I’ve had mixed results with the Michelin blades. My last set from Costco seemed to fail pretty quickly and performance was so so compared to OEM.

I buy the wiper blades from Costco on sale yearly. I change out blades for 5 vehicles yearly. Ours and relatives. Live near Seattle. Never had a problem. No wind noise.

Wiper blades are a cheap consumable item. Would rather swap them at this price point than risk failure attempting a long lifespan.

Yearly sale starts this Wednesday.

Not as cosmetically attractive as the stock ones but functionally good and solid value.

Not on a 4Runner so fitment differences may apply but I haven't noticed much difference between the Costco Michelin ones and the Anco "Beam (Extended Life)" ones I got off RockAuto which is comparable in price save for shipping. I'll probably just go Costco next time unless I'm already ordering stuff.

I usually buy Trico blades for my vehicles but everybody makes a wiper blade nowadays, it seems. I can't imagine Michelin making a terrible quality product.

I just buy them when I really need them since its cheap, maybe less than $10 each when I do get them.

A good 3 coats of Rain-X does wonders for me. I should do it by next week when it starts to rain.
