Smile Deal - Dewalt 1600 jumpstarter at Home Depot

I was perusing the Home Depot sale ad and saw the Dewalt 1600 jump starter on sale for $119 ($40 off, it says). FYI, FWIW.

I'm thinking I want one, does anyone have real experience with this?

I recall seeing messages somewhere about this or similar DeWalt unit, some complaints... but any consumer product can have some bad ones ship, I figure.

Just in time for cold weather, right?

I have an older one, from BJ's (Peak?), I may also replace the battery in that, too.

I bought 2 NOCO GB40 units for our vehicles. They were $99 each on Amazon and will do multiple jumps on a single charge. We have one 4L and one 3.5L engine.

GB40
1000 Amp Jump Starter Up to 6L Gas and 3L Diesel Engines

So far I've used it to charge my phone when the power went out for 5 hours.

Dual range 5 speed, factory skid plate, 3 position manually adjustable rear shocks and armored exhaust. All factory, including the white spoke wheels. The front sub frame finally rusted apart.

I just bought a NOCO pack myself, do you have any experience with yours actually jumping vehicles, or just as an aux charger for accessories?

Everything NoCo should be on Black Friday sale any day now.

I’ve had a GB40 for a few years. I can get about 7 or 8 jumpstarts for a V6, or 2 to 3 starts for a vintage 350 SBC. I like it so much I bought one for my wife as well.

If I could do it again, I’d buy a larger model “just in case”.

I haven't had to use either NOCO yet for starting a vehicle. My jumper cables are still in the truck and I haven't used them for 8 years.

We used to have one of the older (probably bought it 2 years ago) Dewalt jump packs and it worked good for our use but we didn't take care of the battery and just had to trash it. Just a word of caution if you buy it.
