I just purchased my fourth 4Runner in the past 22 years, it's a 2024 TRD ORP W/KDSS, Sunroof, HP Fog Lights, Trail Running Boards, roof Rack cross Bars, Door edge guards, All Weather Floor Liner and Cargo tray Package, chrome exhaust tip. hope I didn't miss anything. Anyway I have a pickup that has long been paid for but love the 4Runner for everyday chores and trips. Why do I continue to buy the 4R ? For one they are dead reliable, the perfect size for my intended use, have amazing resale value. The resale value is better than most any other vehicle out there even the Lexus GX. like I said in other posts, in 2020 it was between a new 4R and a Lexus GX, the GX was about $25K more. I did a KBB trade in value on both four years later and the 4R is actually worth a little more, so the $25K price difference is gone on the GX for some reason. And yes I just traded my 2020 for a 2024 because the out of pocket cash needed was so little it made sense I guess. I like the LED lights, heated steering wheel, birds eye view camera is ok but resolution is not great but I can live with it. And a total reset on mileage and warranty with the last run of a brand new 2024 4R fifth generation. My wife also drives a RX and loves it, got rid of her ES350 for the RX.
