Rear Axle & Bearings Tool Loaner in DFW

Well, about two months into ownership and it looks like every piece of rubber on my 2000 SR5 has been going to junk.

I'm on a college budget replacing everything from LBJs to the valve cover gaskets, t-case output shaft seal, and the rear axle seals while I'm home for winter break. I'm prepping to drive up to Colorado in the new year but all I have is a set of sockets and some wrenches.

Just putting out some feelers if anyone has the press and tools in the DFW area for the rear axle seals since I believe I'll need to do my bearings with how much oil has leaked out of the seal. Throwing together a parts order from the dealer tomorrow so hopefully have the stuff by the beginning of next week. I'd happily throw in drinks or bake some cookies for letting me work on my rig.

If you have any other tools that might help for the other jobs I'm doing or just want to wrench away with someone, I'd also be open to that and to help out with whatever work you may be doing on your rig!

Looks like your 24–25-year-old 4 Runner is doing pretty well for its age. I live in the DFW area, but I don't do any mechanical work on my vehicles and don't know where you could rent this special tool. "The Car Care Nut" on YouTube could have a video on what you are wanting to do to your vehicle, just a suggestion.

Providing a tool loaner service in the DFW area would greatly assist DIY enthusiasts in completing their repairs efficiently and cost-effectively.
