PSA: Restore Lost Writeups & Web Pages

Hi All,

It's the worst when you had a writeup saved, go to view it, and see it's been taken down. Or you have a problem, look up the solution, and the solution has been taken down or missing pictures.

I just learned about this tool to restore lost web pages. I used it to find the Sonoran Steel E-locker swap writeup.

Wayback Machine

All you need to do is enter the URL of the broken link, and select a date on the calendar which provides "snapshots" of that web page over time. Click a date and it'll take you to what the page looked like at that time!

I can see this being pretty useful, and as I just learned about it, I figured I'd pass this along.

Since this is not gen specific, moving to General Discussion where others can see and benefit.

I use the wayback machine regularly, both for personal and work purposes... Good reminder. I just donated too - haven't done that before, but it felt like a good time.
