Check Engine + SRS + VSC TRAC + Slip Indicator lights are all on HELP!!!
Just a quick background, I've got a Silver 2007 4Runner V8 RWD SR5 with just over 41K km and today, the "Check engine + SRS warning + VSC TRAC + Slip Indicator lights" just went ON. On top of that, the gear selector light on the dash, signal lights and front passenger's seat belt reminder light don't work anymore...HELP!!!
I just came back from 9 days of camping, I'm just wondering if any of the dust from passing campers, clogged any sensors as the truck sat most of the time.
I've owned a 2000 sienna and 2004 Highlander before and never had problems.
Any input would be very much appreciated.

check all abs sensor wires for chafing..
check brake fluid level..
check all associated fuses..
read here for info on zero point calibration, which is sometimes necessary
http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showth...nd+calibration
did you change anything on the truck recently?

The only item that was installed is the electrical brakes controller for pulling my trailer which was done the 3rd week of July.
However, when I came back from my trip when backing up and parking my trailer, the power chord that recharges the battery, sends the all the signal lights and brake lights, and electrical brakes was caught in between metal and was shredded. I wonder if the mishmash of exposed wires screwed something up?

The wiring and components of the T4R should have been protected by the fuses. It is possible that electrons running through places in ways they are not supposed to may have 'glitched' the VSC. I'd check all the fuses and try the VSC reset listed above.

I'm booked to go to a local toyota dealer tomorrow (I didn't buy my truck from them) and would like to have at least a little bit of idea before the dealership starts charging me huge coins and say if these are not covered under any warranty.
Any more info about my issues, please feel free to keep posting. I'd rather understand the underpinnings of what's happening anyways as I intend to keep my truck for the long haul.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, I read somewhere last night about the gas cover and I did apply 2 complete turns after fill-up.

UPDATE....... As I mentioned in my earlier posts, my truck is booked for tomorrow thursday's appointment at a toyota dealership due to the said issues above, however yesterday,as I was waiting for my wife and kids at a clinic, I turned off the engine which I normally do especially with the price of fuel. Anyway, it did not start anymore. After phoning for roadside assistance (not from toyota----too much phone tagging and transferrring---still ended up not helping me) I got a battery boost from a tow truck (via CAA) which initially started the truck, but it died again and we proceeded to have my T4R towed yesterday at my local dealer.
By the way, here's another thread I posted regarding other concerns I have that may or may not be related to this original thread.

Again, folks, thanks in advance for any input and feedback, good or bad.
