Feedback on my T4R
I'm looking for some feedback on my ride.
Last winter I had a nice set of FJ wheels with new 275/70/17 BFG AT tires. The setup looked great but the weight and up-size of the wheels was killing my MPG and since I drive about two hours a day for work, the $$$$ was killing me.
I ended taking them off and buying a set of 20-inch Enkie wheels with Kumho all-season 295/45/20 tires for off ebay for $700 bucks. They were like new with 99% tread.
I now find myself questioning the decision. Although, the ride and mileage (around 18-20MPG) with the bull bar, TRD CAI, etc is great, I think the tires look too street.
Any feedback???
Is anyone else running a similar set-up?

it would help with a photo that showed more of the side. From what I can see, the tires look a little streetish to me also. I am waiting to wear out the OEM tires on mine and then going with something a little more aggressive treadwise myself.

I'm going to try to wear the hell out of the Kumho tires this winter. I've great things about the Cooper Zean LTZ. Nice aggressive tread and the 275/55/20 is the same diameter as a 265/70/17.

Are those rims still for sale on Ebay? I would really like some new rims.

No. I bought them a few months ago with the Kumho tires on them. I love the rims but hate the tires. I've been thinking of selling them and getting an 18-inch wheel or waiting until the street tires are worn out (which will be a long time since they have a ton of tread left) so I can go with the Cooper LTZs.

Your 4Runner looks good, but the wheel/tire setup definitely doesn't match what you've got goin on with your ARB bar and roof rack with lights. I think you should go with a 3" Front/ 2" Rear Confred lift and then get some 33" tires. Now that would look good.

Thanks for the feedback. I've been going back and forth for sometime. I'm trying to hang tight and run the tires down, but their just not doing it for me.
I probably won't go to 33s, although I would love to go big. I hoping to go with an OME suspension and then go with a 32" or 275/55/20.
I love the look of the 20-inch rim, but need more height of the rubber.
I shouldn't have sold the FJ rims and 265/70/17 BFG's I had on it.
You live and learn. If I could find someone looking to do a trade, I'd consider it.
