HID Installed. Pics.

I got my HID kit from DDM Tuning. This one comes with lifetime warrranty. Digital ballasts and great bulbs. Here's what's in the box:

Best place for ballasts is front inner fenders, in the corner where there are 2 convenient holes for bolts. I had to make bracket first, here's a template:

Little tough to reach behind those fenders but results woth it:

Likevise on drivers side, even harder to reach but if there is a will there is a way (cant see it well behind the battery though):

Lights On (keep in mind this is daytime in open garage):

The only complication during instalation was reversed polarity, which I took care of by cutting and resoldering harness wires on low voltage side. I love the results..

NICE!
Reverse polarity is step one in the instructions manual J/K..
I really want to have a HID but mine don't have the projector type lens. Now I see that its ok.

What year is your 4Runner? you still have the original Panasonic battery.

Dont have to have projectors. If your lights aimed right - then HID setup will disperse slightly, but not to bad to be a glare problem, not in my case at least. 2004 SE here with stock halogen lense headlights. Yea, my Panasonic is original and it is a hell of a battery, I plan to keep it for a while.

Nice. I used the same spot on my passenger side (using velcro) and attached the drivers side ballast on the side of the battery.

man.. where were you guys a month ago hah. I just installed ddm HIDs in my 05 as well. i mounted it in the exact location but i have HId fog lights as well which i mounted the ballast aroudnt eh same locationa nd fed the wires through the open space behind the headlight assembly. I didn't cut and solder the harness, i just turned the plug over and electrical taped them hah, a hack job but it still works.

That's how I found out about wires been crossed, I just flipped the plug to see. Sure enough it worked. I wanted to have that connection snap in place to keep it from working itself loose over time, but I'm sure it would be fine if you add a clip or electrical tape.
