" Toyota taking 1 for the team" clarification
Hi guys. Just thought I needed to clarify a statement I had made in response to this post.
I had made a statement about putting 3 people in a body bag last year due to bad driving skills. Aparrently, some of you think this was due to some fault of my own. For the record: I was a volunteer fireman in my off time. We worked numerous fatal traffic accidents. We have 2 major highways running through our town. Those 3 people were all victims of traffic accidents.
I myself have been driving for 18 years now with no accidents ( Knock on wood!). In fact, about a year after getting my 4Runner I put one of those people in a bag. His accident taught me to respect the SUV.
This poor guy was driving an Isuzu Trooper, early 2000's model I believe. He looked down at some thing, then looked back up to see a car stopped ahead of him trying to make a left hand turn. He then over corrected and rolled numerous times. His first roll proved to be fatal. When we arrived on scene, we were greeted with the sight of Christmas presents and brain matter scattered down the highway. I figured this was a fatality, but I still needed to check for vital signs and any other passengers. When I got up to his door and stuck my head in I discovered the sun visor burried 3 inches into his forehead. It took an hour to cut him out. Not something you want to see a few days before Christmas. I discovered the next day that this guy was the dad of my co-worker's girlfriend.
So guys, please drive carefully out there and I hope this clears the air.

why not just post it in the other thread? I don't see the need for a separate thread

There are may people who read the thread but did not issue a response. This is my name and reputation at stake here.

Its cool, I read the thread, You make a clear response stating you were firefighter, what you said didn't bother me at all or do i think anyone else.
Alot of people don't respond in threads, but they read it them.
Thats why i didn't see the need for an extra thread.

I find it strange that you needed to clarify this matter...
I didn't understood you any other way than you were paramedic or in some other emergency profession.
Maybe I'm so deep-sunken into that same profession that I couldn't read anything else from that. =)

Thanks, some one thought that I killed those 3 people. Hence, I needed to clarify.

Ya I read the thread again, and found it. Strange, very strange... it's funny how mister Internats can turn the meanings of words totally upside down.
Now that's settled, and everybody's happy. Let's argue which is better, 4runner with lockers and 33s or Wrangler on 44s with lockers, low gear and such like...
I'll go for the toyota...
(I recall myself sayin' something' 'bout "don't listen too carefully on what I have to say..." lol )

I'll second that. A Toyota can take one for my team any day!

LOL that someone may have been me!
I can see why you were concerned, being thought of as responsible for someone's death isn't something to take lightly!
My apologies
