Do you leave your front license plate on?
I just my new 3rd gen and I had to take the front license plate off to get a toll bridge sensor off. I typically take them off my cars because they look cleaner without them, but what does everyone else do?
Anyone run into any trouble with the cops?

We don't have front plates so I don't have one, I didn't want to mess up the pole of those who actually have (are supposed to have) a front plate. I also like the look better with no front plate.

Try that with VA tags and see what happens.

I would love to have the front plate off, but Washington cops will pull you over in a heart beat. Not worth the effort for a $50 ticket.

There needs to be another option:
No, because my state (NC) doesn't issue front license plates.

Yes because it really isn't a big deal on the 4runner.
The cars though...well I kept getting pulled over in the Cobra so I had to make a bracket to avoid drilling my bumper. Now that that's gone, with the Z06 I took the plate off. It looks better, and this is THE car that makes that statement true. It may be bright red and a z but no pull overs for me or anything.
On regular cars like the runner though, I don't care.

I didn't know some states don't require front plates.
Does anyone know how to edit a poll?

ANYWAY, I run with a front plate on the 4runner because it has the slots for it and i would rather not get harassed in the runner. In the Jetta on the other hand, i refused to drill a fresh bumper just for a front plate so i threw it on the dash and called it a day.

I would hate to be forced to have a front plate.
SC is pretty relaxed on car regulations.

I've had mine off for 2+ yrs and no problems whatsoever. I do keep it in the door in case I go on a trip or something but I don't put it on the front bumper, just on the dash.

There should be a spot for "I did not put either front or rear on yet." I would check that one.

I haven't had a front plate on any of my cars/trucks since 1991 (7 vehicles) and the cops here in Maryland just love me. 5 tickets ($250 total) and 4 warnings to date. I guess I'm an idiot, but i just hate 'em (the plates- just loooove the cops)

Had my front plate off for about a year with no trouble ever in the city...
And I just got pulled over last week driving south in the rural parts of Oregon, and got a ticket. I still leave it off, and will only put it back on if I'm driving out of town
