If this is your daily driver, back and forth to work, I'ld leave it stock. Lift and tires and rims etc... gets pricey and if done improperly can be hard on drivetrain. 4Runners are pretty capable out of the box with some decent tires.
If this is a project vehicle you want to customize to take on some really rough trails or just ride through town in a big 4wd...the options are limited to your budget.

Yes I got a fandancy lil pile....I want to jack it up, but I was hoping for some advice on lift kits? Ive never worked on an IFS suspension? but on to the rest Water pump just got replaced before I bought it, I found a receipt for a 1/2 decent mechanic shop in town dated 3 months ago giving it a tune up, a new water pump and new clutch I do need to change all the seals though cause there is a minor oil leak out of the valve covers and I'm sure the rest could just use the love.

Yes it is my daily driver as of now but in a year or so I will buy another vehicle like I always do and fix it up...I'm not trying to go big on the lift kit either. 4" will be as high as I go, with 33'S... but I'm actually looking into a cheaper old man umu kit maybe 2.5 just to kit it not to sag so much and then 31"s so i can have a little more ground clearance

Performance mods

Hey, I just got my 4runner too. How is yours performing? What kind of gas mileage are you getting? Have you done and performance mods that you would suggest?

Im looking get a new exhaust system and air intake. See 1995 4runner Performance mods

Your 4runner looks good, like to see how it looks once you get your lift on it.

The Old Man Emu lift is a great choice! I had one on my '94, and it worked really well, rode nice, and wasn't too costly. Plus, you don't have to extend the brake lines or do any other mods. The moderate lift puts less strain on the U-joints, too. And lastly, you get the benefits of the entire lift height down the center underneath--those 4" lifts usually put a nasty crossmember under the engine to mount their control arms, eliminating most of the space you gained. Once you get her ready, Budbuilt has nice skidplates for the IFS, including an optional bellypan that attaches to the front plate--put those on, and you'll slide right over obstacles that you can't clear outright. Have fun!
