DIY Bent Tubes/ Plate

After reading a couple of build threads it occurred to me that many of you are not fortunate enough to have the resources to make your own gear. But have the skills, and some of the tools. So, what would you all think about a " you send us dimensions we send you bent tube/plate" Basically you grab your favorite bar napkin, a ruler, protractor, and send us some dimensions. In return you get a box shipped to your door with your creation. I love garage fabricators! As most of us vendors started out that way.

Many of you are talented Solid Works/ Autocad artist, draw up some plates, gussets, or ? and we can cut them on our CNC plasma table...

Thoughts ?

I would love this, as making the investment to make just a few pieces myself always seems prohibitive (tube bender, welder, welding accessories, etc). Shipping costs may be the only gotcha on heavier items. I have an idea for a bolt-on side extension for my roofrack, to hold my 10x10 easy-up shelter. I'll hit you guys up!

It's a good idea. There's a few online businesses that do that kind of thing already, but if you are willing to focus/specialize on vehicle fabrication parts then I'm sure you could grab a fair market share.

For sheet metal, what thicknesses can you cut and bend and what bend radius sizes can you do?
For tube, what sizes and bend radius can you work with?

We can cut: Up to .25 Inch
Break up to 10 gauge... thicker if I run down to my buddies shop ( 3/16 )

Tube 1'', 1.25, 1.5, 1.75 Round

I will double check but

1'' = 3.5'' radius
1.25 = 4''
1.5 = 5
1.75 = 5.5

If there are other sizes needed I can always pick one up if there is enough demand..
