I just joined the board. I live in Alpharetta and work in Buckhead.

Looks like quite a few people from Georgia now. We should plan a meet up and hit the trails

BTW, Anyone planning on buying a set of Hanna rock sliders? We could combine shipping and save some $$.

Just joined the board myself. Bought an '05 Sport Edition 4x4 V8 on Sunday and love it. I've wanted a 4Runner for many years, and finally got one. I'm an old Tacoma driver, before breifly (3 years) playing hot rod with a Subaru WRX.

I live and work in Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area.

Thumbs up Athens in the house!!

Yo,
What's up everybody? This is Tobi-Wan. I live in Athens and work in Watkinsville. I am originally from Atlanta, but have lived in Athens for 8 years now.

Bought my 4Runner a couple of months ago, and have had nothing but fun with it.

I just bought an '85 4Runner that I am going to turn into my Crawler. Can't wait.

Peace

Tobi-Wan

New

I just joined the club here.

I'm currently driving a 2003 T4R SR5. It's my pride and joy.

I live in Athens during the school year and Alpharetta permanently.

I'll post pics of my car later. I'm looking to add running boards and possibly a lift when I get some extra cash.

Cool yo, what's up everybody!?!?

Just thought I would let everyone know, if you have not been to Tellico, up near Murphy, NC yet, you should definitely go. That place is awesome. They have great trails, and lots of camping and flyfishing streams. I just took my '87 4runner up there, after installing a locker in the rear last week, and had a blast. so, if you have the opportunity, definitely take it. Also, Halloween weekend, the 28-30, my buddy Steve, who runs River Rock ORV down in Milledgeville, GA, is having a nice little event. If you haven't been to River Rock, it is an excellent place to wheel as well. I will be heading down there with a couple buddies and their rigs from here in Athens, GA. If you guys have any questions, let me know, and i will do my best to get them answered for you. Halloween weekend should prove to be tons-o-fun!

I've heard good stuff about Tellico. My ex boyfriend goes up there alot with the Clemson Offroad group and the pictures he posts are incredible.
Sure wish my Runner would be able t o go but with only 2 wd and factory tires, that's a BIG NO. But maybe someday when I get enough cash I'll lift my car and see about getting 4wd... either that or upgrade to a new one!

I've seen pictures from River Rock on various Jeep forums but never been. I thought is was open to club rentals and not a place you could just drive to and wheel? Anyone have information on the difficulty of the trails?

Cool River Rock Info

Scott,

If you go to riverrockorv.com, you can get the phone number, and i believe you can email them. but either way, you can talk to Steve down there, he runs the place. you can go down there if you have at least 5 rigs together. just contact him ahead of time and make sure there are no events going on. when i spoke with him a couple weeks ago when i was down there, he told me we could come with at least 5 rigs. however, halloween weekend there is an event, so if you are interested, you should check it out. You don't need 5 rigs for an event, but it's definitely more fun that way.

Also, ugagriz, you can always go and campout and check out the entertainment. i am sure you could find someone to ride on the trails with. I know when i was down there last, i had folks practically begging to ride on trails, especially when we went out at night!!

here is a pick of my '87, down at the bottom of the page: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showth...5&pagenumber=2
