Traverse City/Northern Michigan
I see a ton of 4runners up here, and several built up fairly well, yet nobody seems to be trying to organize anything. I would love to meet up with some people up here and hit some trails. There are tons of them all over Northern Michigan! If anyone is interested lets see if we can get some meetings and trail rides put together!!

Any trail recommendations?
I keep eyeing the Manistee NF and thinking there's gotta be some nice back roads up there. Haven't made time to go knock around yet though.

There's back roads for days around Traverse City and especially towards grayling/Kalkaska areas. We also have twisted trails offroad park in copemish, 21 miles south of Traverse City.

Hmmmm, not sure of trails in Charlevoix, although I know they are there, but if you come to Traverse city we could wheel all day!

That might be worth it to get out and ride around for the day. Charlevoix to Traverse is a lot closer than Columbus to Traverse! I'll let you know when we are up there.

Hello! I will be moving from Colorado to Bloomfield Township next week. We have friends on Walloon Lake and I will definitely be doing a lot of fly fishing in that area. I was there a few summers ago and absolutely love the Petoskey area. Would be very interested in checking out some trails as well!

well, next week is our trip up to Charlevoix. We will be in town Thursday through Sunday. (4th-8th) Have any time for a possible meet up? We might only be able to stick around for a few hours, but I would love to get some exploring in.

I should be home all weekend, Saturday and Sunday. Takes about 2-3 hours to drive the whole PowerLine from tc to Kalkaska, or if needed there are multiple spots to turn off and shorten the ride. Lots of sand, hills, washouts and whatnot.

Let me check with my old lady and see what her thoughts are. I would love to come down there, but we've got some friends coming up for the weekend. They leave on Sunday so we might be good for that day.
Do these trails require the permit through DNR? I was just checking out the Kalkaska route on the website.

The one I'm talking about is down the high voltage PowerLine. There is a snowmobile trail on much of it, then tons of state land. There's days of trails that don't require anything special. I've been bombing around out there for 3 years and rarely even see another person, or if I due they are usually doing the same thing as me. DNR monitor it during hunting season and snowmobiles, but that's it. I ran into the power company once, they told me it's open to drive on, hunt on, etc.

Hey there guys. Just got a new Trd pro and love it. Does anyone know a shop that does good work on these trucks. Wanted to add a front bumper plate with lights and sliders. Thanks in advance.

Hey man, unfortunately I don't know of anywhere that specifically does work on Toyota's or that does lifts, bumpers, etc. Are you trying to have something built or buy a bumper and have it put on? If buying I'd be more than happy to help you bolt everything up, if looking to have something made I would look into a welding shop. There are several very good ones in the area, some even have a powder coat setup.
Welcome to t4r! Happy to have some more people located by me. Whereabouts you at? And post some pics! Love the looks of the pro!
